When nine hundred years old you reach, look as good you will not. Wars not make one great. Adventure. Heh! Excitement. Heh! A Jedi craves not these things. You must unlearn what you have learned. Try not. Do. Or do not. There is no try. Luminous begins are we … not this crude matter. That [...]

The only difference between men and boys is the cost of their toys. So how many expensive toys should a man have? Expressed as an equation, men should — and in fact need – N + 1 expensive toys, where N is the number of toys that they currently own. Too many toys is never enough!

It seems that my family has finally succumbed to the swine flu. With one child in school and the other in child care, it was only a matter of time. While my various members of my family have been sick at different times during the last two weeks, we only pieced it all together this week. On [...]

I went on a journey of discovery this morning, but was left disappointed. For many years I have driven along South East Queensland’s Gateway Motorway and noticed the Taoist Temple sign near Deagon. Given my interest in Taoism (Daoism), my curiosity was piqued everytime I saw it. But I always had another destination to get to [...]

I was toying with the idea of organising a Toolooa State High School class of 1988 gathering (I didn’t want to call it a 20-year school reunion) last year. However, events overcame me — my employee who I had assigned the task to was poached; and I got too busy to organise the event myself. So [...]

I recently purchased a folding slingshot (or sling shot, however you want to spell it) from Wholesale items from China on eBay. Yes, I know. The only difference between men and boys is the price of their toys. When I was young we made shanghais. They were made out of a fork of a tree with a [...]

I have bought a few things from eBay, apparently safe that my purchases were protected by PayPal. On 7 January 2009 I bought a battery charger for $14.40 (+$10 postage) on eBay from AUSSIE_BATTERY INC. I paid for the purchase immediately through PayPal. Aussie Battery states that items are generally shipped out the next business [...]

The 100,000 km service of our Subaru Forester by City Automotive Group that turned into a ridiculously expensive $3,337 exercise is some time ago now. A quick update is in order. My wife has finally got around to trading this car in. It is just over six years old and has only done 84,000 km. She has been [...]
